Dr. Vasquez’s journey in the field of medicine is a testament to his unwavering dedication. He graduated from the Iberoamerican University Medical School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and completed his general Pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in Bronx, New York. His commitment led him to work in the Pediatric ER in Florida and later relocate to Long Beach, CA, for the pediatric pulmonary fellowship at UCI and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital. After completing his fellowship, he joined the Pulmonary and Allergy & Immunology division at Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital in Long Beach, CA, in 2021.
Dr. Vasquez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonary. He has actively been involved in teaching medical students, interns, residents, and fellows. He has also collaborated on a series of case reports presented at CHEST Journal conferences. Dr. Vasquez has a wide range of interest in the various pulmonary diseases commonly affecting children and adolescents, such as asthma, chronic lung disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia from premature birth, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, chronic cough, primary ciliary dyskinesia, interstitial lung diseases, congenital lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, sleep-disordered breathing, and technology-dependent children.
